M A S C H I N E, electronic sound of 2010, proudly presents:
? ACTRESS / Wrek Discs / UK

Fulgeance’s music is a perfect blend of huge, synth-laced French Electro and modern Instrumental Hip Hop.

Juno: Build boss Baobinga teams up with Ginz (from the “Purple City”) and Cosmin TRG on this debut from his new label. Title tune “The Good Stank” is just as brilliant as you’d expect from this team of post-dubsteppers, with big live drums played at a half-speed and a cavalcade of bubbly synths spewing nicely over the mix, all anchored by a soulful synth melody. “I Get Ruff” on the other hand is uptempo and just as kaleidoscopic – with Baltimore-style drums and deep bass firming up the rhythm. Clearly this won’t be the last diamond to come out on Build.
RBMA: “Red Bull Music Academy 2010 participants Venice (Gomma), Kool Clap (Vulture) and Minus (Arhiva7) reunite at the Tilt! night in Bucharest, supported by local jocks Fanas and Kapnobatai. It’s a family affair…”

Vineri, 16 aprilie 2010
Pana in prezent a lansat 3 albume, Now more than ever (2006), Reality Checkpoint (2008) ?i Crash Bang Wallop! (2009) , pentru care a castigat premii precum 1Xtra Best Album. A reusit in doar cativa ani sa isi construiasca propriul stil in miscarea drum and bass, ajungand sa fie foarte apreciat de o armata de fani din intreaga lume si in acelasi timp respectat in randul muzicienilor din scena.
Minus @ RBMA Radio: Even Einstein could figure out that this computer programmer from Bucharest has collected way more musical power ups than your average beat maker. Combining massive mountains of bass with glitchy twinkling Gameboy melodies and a healthy dose of synth funk, it’s no surprise that he’s released three EPs already on the Romanian netlabel Archiva7. But it’s his live performances that have been taking him to festivals all over Europe and Romania, where he dubs out his tracks and reworks them live. On the plus side, if Tron teleported to Kingston, he’d have at least one friend there already. You do the math.
This week sees the release on Tempa of a new 2×12? set, Now You Know, by Cosmin TRG.
Cosmin, who you probably know best as simply TRG, is one of the more interesting and outward-looking dubstep producers to have come up in the past few years, and recently he’s taken to the sounds of UK funky and mutant house with real gusto. Now You Know finds him showcasing his own unique take on the sound, leading with the ravey shuffle of ‘Twilight Riddim’. Every track on the release sounds fat and fully-realised, with diverse rhythms and squelchy synth textures throughout. Check out clips and buy here.
To celebrate the release, we’re giving away three limited edition Now You Know T-shirts. The eye-catching design is by Stuart Hammersley of Give Up Art, the man responsible for the visual identities of Rinse, FWD>>, Tempa and Apple Pips among others, and co-creator of Bleep’s recent North/South/East/West art+music box set.
To be entered into the draw, simply e-mail your name and the words ‘Cosmin TRG’ to competitions@vinylfactory.co.uk. The winners will be notified on or before February 26.
